Fashion Food

A collaboration between high end designers and food. Love love love

Asked to create the Yule log of his dreams, couture designer Alexis Mabille came up with this. Packed with chestnuts, candied apples and a confit of yuzu and lime surrounded by yuzu and milk chocolate ganache and crispy caramelised pecans, this is a fashionably festive treat indeed.

“After doing two shows in this famous french tea room [Angelina], I decided to do a project with them,” explains Mabille. “I had a lot of fun doing it. For the outside, I really wanted it to be reminiscent of the 19th Century with a textile touch or effect – with those little sugar studs all placed one by one by hand. And my bow tie in silver chocolate … that is fun and tasty, fashionable and classic.”
