New Year

Looking back on 2010:
I’ve done it again. It’s the end of the year and I’ve actually achieved nothing. In fact, I think I did just the opposite. Instead of toning up, I accidentally put on four kilos and instead of making my life stress free, I worked late every night and spent most of my weekends cramming for exams. And then I turned 23. What kind of age is 23 anyway? I felt bad even celebrating such a boring number. To be honest, this year sucked.
The solution:
My new resolution (yes, there’s only one this time round), is to make the New Year “un-suck”. There’s no individual goals attached – it’s a general lifestyle choice. To “un-suck” means to wake up happy and be ok with whatever happens. I think I’ll lay off the specific resolutions; they’re just empty promises. My plan is already in motion! A new job, zumba classes and a wedding = an “un-sucky” year. I can’t wait.

  1. What a great way of looking at it. I definitely agree with scrapping the specific goals – I’m yet to meet someone who actually achieved them! Good luck “un-sucking” your year and you’ve convinced me to do the same. Great post!
